TokPirate is software that curtails and restarts solar plants automatically when the power price drops below the minimum you set. No hardware – it works through your inverter’s cloud.
01Why we exist
Negative prices are no longer the exception.
When the sun shines across Europe, the market has more power than it needs and the IBEX price falls to zero and below. Every megawatt-hour you produce then costs money: the negative price itself, plus balancing, grid access and your trader’s fee.
In 2023 Bulgaria had 11 hours of negative prices; in 2025 it had 170. And since 1 October 2025 the IBEX price changes every 15 minutes – 96 prices a day.
Owners and asset managers shouldn’t have to watch the exchange all day to decide when to curtail. That’s why we built TokPirate: you set the rules once, and the software applies them every day.

How we work

You set the rules
You set the minimum price for each plant – or for each inverter. The system applies it and alerts you in real time.

Only the manufacturer’s standard functions
We work through the official inverter cloud and use its standard power limitation. No extra hardware, no changes to your installation.

Your trader knows in advance
Curtailments go into the schedule your trader receives the day before. No surprises for the balancing group.

Transparent numbers
Our prices are public. In the app you see profit after all fees, not just the exchange price. When we quote market data, we cite the source.
