Fronius inverters send their data to Fronius Solar.web – the platform you open in a browser or in the Solar.web app. TokPirate connects to your system there, tracks 15-minute IBEX prices and curtails the plant when the price drops below the minimum you set. Once the price recovers, production resumes.

02Requirements

What you need to connect Fronius

In Solar.web every system has an Owner who can add other users as Supervisor or Guest. Guest is read-only, so we need a higher level for control – we’ll confirm which one when you connect. The Owner in Solar.web is often the installer, because the system was created from their account.

  • Your Fronius inverters registered in Solar.web and sending data
  • Access to the plant in Solar.web with control rights – view-only isn’t enough
  • A working internet connection at the plant
  • The minimum price below which you don’t want to sell
  • Your trader’s contact details, if you want schedules sent straight to them

Not needed: new hardware, a site visit or replacing your inverters.

  1. Start the free trial

    Sign up for 14 days free, no card required, and tell us your plant runs on Fronius.

  2. Grant access in Solar.web

    Follow the short instructions for Solar.web. If the account belongs to your installer, we’ll help you sort it out with them.

  3. Check and go live

    We confirm the inverters are visible and accept commands, you set your minimum price, and the automation takes over.

Who can give you access in Solar.web?
Only the system Owner can add Supervisors, and a Supervisor can only invite read-only Guests. So control access has to come from the Owner – you, or your installer if the system was registered under their account. Ownership is transferred under Settings → Change Owner.
Solar.web shows a power limit I didn’t set. Where does it come from?
If it matches an interval where the price was below your threshold, it’s the TokPirate automation – our dashboard shows the plant as curtailed by the automation, together with the interval price. If there’s no such match, the cause is elsewhere – write to us and we’ll look into it together.
Is curtailment safe for my Fronius inverters?
Yes. We use the manufacturer’s standard power-limiting function – the same one you could set by hand in Solar.web. Output is reduced smoothly rather than switching the inverters off abruptly.
How much does TokPirate cost for a plant with Fronius inverters?
Pricing depends on the number of inverters, not the brand: Start (up to 5 inverters) at €19/month, Pro (up to 25 inverters) at €69/month and Business (up to 100 inverters) at €199/month – or €15, €52 and €149 a month billed annually. Custom (over 100 inverters) is priced on request. Prices exclude VAT, and the first 14 days are free, no card required. See pricing.
