02Requirements

What you need to connect Solis

SolisCloud has end-user and installer accounts. We need access to the plant with control rights, not just monitoring. If your installer created the plant, we’ll help you work out with them how to grant us access.

  • Your Solis inverters registered in SolisCloud and sending data
  • Access to the plant in SolisCloud with control rights – view-only isn’t enough
  • A working internet connection at the plant
  • The minimum price below which you don’t want to sell
  • Your trader’s contact details, if you want schedules sent straight to them

Not needed: new hardware, a site visit or replacing your inverters.

How connecting SolisCloud works

Three steps, no site visit.

  1. Start the free trial

    Sign up for 14 days free, no card required, and tell us your plant runs on Solis.

  2. Grant access in SolisCloud

    Follow the short instructions for SolisCloud. If the account belongs to your installer, we’ll help you sort it out with them.

  3. Check and go live

    We confirm the inverters are visible and accept commands, you set your minimum price, and the automation takes over.

I used Solis Home or Solis Pro. Do I need to do anything?
Old accounts move to SolisCloud with the same login details: a Solis Home account becomes an end-user account, a Solis Pro account becomes an installer account. TokPirate connects through SolisCloud, so your plant needs to be there.
What happens to the automation if I change installers?
If the plant is moved to a different SolisCloud account, access may need to be granted again. Write to us before the switch and we’ll check that the automation keeps running without a gap.
Is curtailment safe for my Solis inverters?
Yes. We use the manufacturer’s standard power-limiting function – the same one you could set by hand in SolisCloud. Output is reduced smoothly rather than switching the inverters off abruptly.
How much does TokPirate cost for a plant with Solis inverters?
Pricing depends on the number of inverters, not the brand: Start (up to 5 inverters) at €19/month, Pro (up to 25 inverters) at €69/month and Business (up to 100 inverters) at €199/month – or €15, €52 and €149 a month billed annually. Custom (over 100 inverters) is priced on request. Prices exclude VAT, and the first 14 days are free, no card required. See pricing.
